Befriend the Wave Hammer tool as it very handy if you use it carefully.
Also normalise audio at -0.01db

Hi,

I always like playing with the noise gates especially when used on vocals. It can give some quite rythmic vocals, you just need to spend some time getting the thresholds right.

The 3 EQ's are spot on and the Wave Hammer can do some gentle caressing or good destruction to a track!!!

I use it to nice up mp3s from the 50s and 60s that have no bass to speak of. Some of them come up quite good.

One time I took a sample of white noise and timestretched it about 20 or 30 times until it started to break up into tones. Then I used it in my sampler to make enharmonic pads with. Change from the usual filtered noise that everyone uses.

I use soundforge for messing with vocals mainly, or one shots. The only real annoying thing i think about soundforge is that there is no metronome (unless i just cant find it)

But back to the topic i like all the effects in soundforge, mainly the EQ's and wavehammer as mention before, also like the timestretcher to mess around with small hits or vocal shots.
