If it worked then buy it!
Failing that, google often gives results to the nearest 1 bpm.
It really is worth learning to do it manually, you will
get more accurate results. (0.001 bpm)

I would suggest doing it yourself. I was working on a remix once, and everyone and their mother recommended 120 bpm. I gave that a try with the aca and it was close for about 3 seconds then went way off beat.

So i took a chunk of the original song using wavepad, then stuck it in a channel in FL. I then took a bd and created the typical house kick beat with it. Then i messed with the tempo until my house beat lined completely in sync with the originals. Turns out everyone and their mother were WAY OFF. Took only a few minutes.

Thats exactly how to do it.
Although most programs have a metronome or click.
This is just a clicking noise which follows the speed of the project.
Just find it and turn it on.

Off topic here, but i personally can not stand metronomes. I still have a hard time understanding how people can use those to write music. The clicking noise drives me nuts!

(It may be slightly off topic but its still 1 solution to dj clyde's problem)

True. I meant my thoughts on metronomes was OT. Metronomes are to Fizzles as crosses are to vampires. I just use my own, a kick beat or snare, it helps me get more into the music.

spectral view in adobe audition or any program with spectral view makes it easier to find the beats and beatmap it yourself. Does anyone know how to get acapellas auto-bpm finders never seem to catch them. I always have to sync them with instro or real song and then find bpm of real song. I wish there was a database that had tons of rap acapellas bpm's and offset time. no one ever gives offset tiem but it is important.

Not only will these detect the bpm, but the key the song is in too!

Funny i should find this thread, because I just the same thing you did.
I had 30 gigs of music, and none of it had the BPM info. I used MixMeister BPM Analyzer to update them all. it only took 3 hours.
