Hi Smilie_PDT

Im just thinking about buying a Roland MKS-50 to get that old skool hoover sound.
Before i do though, does anyone know of a decent soft synth with hoover presets available now?

Ive heard a couple but they dont come close to the Roland.
Any ideas?

Thanks

Any synth can make a fat hoover sound, you just need to know how to make it. Sylenth1 is a good synth and has a hoover patch but don't buy it because of that, buy it because it's a quality synth and can make many types of top notch sounds.

keep an eye out for this:

http://www.ozcan.gethost.nl/sound.html

i got it free with computer music magazine. there are places on the net maybe you can find it. just have to scour. the hoover sounds great. and it is bundled as a preset.

as a dance/trance and for that matter a DnB synth its good, it has a bit of a virusesque sound to it. is lovely. Cheesy Grin

there's a demo of it here. (not listened to it yet, so apologies if its not good.)

That was a really impressive soft synth to get free with a magazine. I checked out the link on my laptop on the road with a crappt sound card and it sounded great. definitely gonna look into this one. Good lookin out Matt

Fine if you're a Reason user. When I wanted a hoover sound, I stacked a load of Subtractors together with slight variations to the phase, worked quite well... must have a think about putting more hoovers in my tunes... hoovery acidy breakbeat... then put a donk on it! Smilie_PDT
