Hello,
I'm baffled as I've just been through the most recent acapella uploads and I can genuinely say this that in all the time we've had ACAPELLAS4U I've never seen so much sh*t uploaded I really haven't!
What's wrong people?? If it carries on like that then we're going to have to add some serious changes to the way we do things here.
Not sure if it's just a few spoiling it for the rest of us at the minute looking for a quick credit, we're fully aware of the guys and girls we see in the upload list who we know we can just think 'ah no worries, it's blah, approve the file' so no fear there - respect to you all.
So, come on, let's not see this happen again in such a drastic fashion..

Probably people looking for a quick credit.
Like this guy LiNk who apparently uploaded 22 acapellas in a week. This made me laugh.
I hope people take this seriously.
There are a lot of members on this site now. Think if over a week period of time, a thousand members upload 5 acapellas apeice and half of them didnt even bother to read the rules on uploading. I can see how this could quickly turn into a nightmare. |

Can I add...
Before you upload read >>this<< and think would you want to download the file you are uploading. I can bet those uploading the undesirable files are the ones complaining that they have downloaded a dud pella, begging for their credits to be returned. |

| Well I had uploaded 3 files in the last couple of months. And they were all taken down. I don't know? I named them correctly, saved the files in 320 kpbs format, and they are NOT on the site at all. They are DIY's and I named them as such, but yeah they were taken down. I know i haven't posted much on here either, what's up? I'm Sean i've been a member here for a year or two. I don't even care about download credits, I'd rather just get my acapellas up for people to enjoy? |

Mate, unfortunately NOONE is going to do that voluntarily (ie. for free), it is a full time job in itself!!!!
I for one barely have time in my life to even come on here! |

Mate, unfortunately NOONE is going to do that voluntarily (ie. for free), it is a full time job in itself!!!!
I for one barely have time in my life to even come on here! |

But surely only on a temporary basis until you get a job/go onto further education?? Cant bum about on a PC all your life (unless you get a job in IT  |

The two biggest problems I see......
1) People changing the spellings or reversing artists names to add an acapella thats already up.
Like uploading 50 cent In THE club when In DA club is already posted.
Or adding a song as Akon featuring T-Pain when its already been posted as T-Pain featuring Akon.
Also posting a Clean version of songs that are already up, even tho they aren't labeled as clean.
Finally, the newest thing I've seen is people time stretching acapellas and calling them "------- ------- ------- 125bpm"
2) People putting up awful DIY acapellas
Obviously, I don't want to sound mad. I realize maybe some people are new to it, and putting forth their best effort. However, there has to be some standard for a DIY to go up. Again, I realize everyone has different levels of what they expect from a DIY, and maybe people have some use for ones that aren't too great. But there is a point where some just shouldnt be posted.
I know its impossible to check every pella before it goes on the server, but maybe people should lose credits or something the next time they post another version of 50 cent In Da Club. |

| The only files I have uploaded have been in good faith. They were studio acapellas I had accumulated and I don't know if I named them wrong or any reason why they were not accepted. I searched thoroughly on here to see if you already had it before I uploaded. It seems like there is a lot of power-trippin on here. If thats where you need to exert your power - an internet forum- more power to ya brothas. But I wish it weren't so tense @ this forum. Probably get banned for saying that though the way this place is. I'm a newbie here but am a member of many other forums and I've never seen so much punishment and anger as I've seen from the people that run this forum. Hope I don't get banned for saying that..... maybe put me in timeout or something. Its like 3rd grade sorry teacher don't write my name on the board |

im not to good with computers yet just graduated to dj in with them this is a whole new outlett for me believe me i got stuff you dont have im not trying to get blocked cause of me not uploading/ wrong or giving you something you already have i love acapellas4u.co.uk .. give me chance just a oldschooldude who loves music and creating new stuff /.,.l;peace my friend/  |

I've had a few uploads rejected, but in every case it was the same naming error on my part. Example ... Jay-Z - Song Title should be renamed jay-z_-_song_title ... NOT ... jay_-_z_-_song_title ... I did this like three times before finally sinking in.
The moral of the story ... if a file is rejected, there's a reason and y'all need to look at what you did wrong before jumping in the forums and complaining.
Oh ... and uploading a file that already exists in the database by using any of the "tricks" jayspring mentioned is just plain wrong and y'all should know better ... if it was up to me, anyone doing any of those things would be permanently banned and their mama's told about their behavior ... ;) |
