Hi Nuclear Flower,
yes- going to be good- very clean sound - very good idea. For my taste- I got this problem with lot of tracks in this forum- every minute went too long - means that I would like it much more, if those changes and sound addings you made happened half a minute earlier.
Instead of my taste it is a fine track. |

| Hey Nuclear Flower, question for ya... (and this aint ment to be derogatory in any way).. But why if you play the amount of instruments you do, and being a theory teachor, did you go down the electronica path? |

Now thats a good question, and one I'll answer for myself before I give some feedback on Mr. NF's track. I think you should ask that in General Chat, in fact i'll do it and credit you.
For me, it's something that concentrates all on what the finished product sounds like. It's not about looks, image, all the vast marketing tricks. 'Electronica' based music is all about the skill, craft, and hard graft. It's not about 5 boys or girls in a 'band' who are chosen because they look appealing to some people.

The Review
Very nice arrangement. It drags you into listening and relaxing. On a production note, I would lower the Sub-Bass Kick frequencies a little, as this should help to bring the volume of the higher frequencies up a touch. You could try an HP filter around the 32Hz area (play around with it though) just to leave enough for the encoder to work with. Alternatively, try a Low-Shelf in the 80Hz area on the Kick (or maybe the mix) just just bring it down a dB or so.
Good work. |

hey peeps....thanks for all of the feedback. much appreciated.
mrjynx...the electronic stuff is just one thing that I do. my intention is to start combining my guitar work and my electronic production, but I just haven't taken the time yet. I teach seven days a week and go to school, do other work and have a family of four to take care of...hard to find the time.
anasina...great advice. I will take another look at the track and play with the filtering and EQ based on your advice.
Tanz...dude for some reason I like those long intros. but I will probably cut a faster paced version when I get around to it.
magic....glad you liked it. thanks for the kind words.
peace........NF |
