hi all, not sure if i should be asking this, but does anyone know where i can pick up some instrumentals, as i currently dont have the means to play vynal. i.e a site such as this

Oh yes, it is extremely censored. I will be pushing my luck by even saying it sounds a bit like 'dental' and thats bad enough. It is one thing we don't do. Read the Holy Grail section 21.  |

Yeah, after a while you learn that you can only use that word in sentences like:
'George Bush was ************ in the destruction of modern American Civil Liberties, though we all know Cheney was the brains of the operation.'
...and even then it's still censored, just in case |

I know its the biggest taboo here, but how come its such a no no?....
as most of the peeps here are actually downloading these pellas to remix,.... and generally need to source some "***" to remix with,
i apreciate there has to be rules, and u dont want the forum to become overrun with talk of the "beast" but would it not be a good idea to create a topic forum to compare sites and chat about the unmentionable? and keep all talk within there?

Hey V.V. this word became taboo sometime last year as thier was a group of members who decided to take it upon themselves start uploading all sorts of instrumentals. In fact the virtually turned this into a instrumental site. It was awful the word instrmental was all over the place and not as a discussion either. So we decided to block the word so those people couldn't advertise thier stuff. Thats about the jist of the story really.

i see Val,... but what about the suggestion of maybe a forum room where it could be talked about, maybe links to sites?.... but obviously still maintain the no uploading of the "!!"
and maybe also have a very strict rule that no talk of such in any other forum?
just a suggestion like, and i respect that its still a no go!!

If PPL are intrested in I********tals then there are other sites they can discuss them on...

I'm sorry! I didn't realize you were the designated speaker for 'most of the peeps here'!
Here's my take and why I say 'good riddance':
When you use ********'s with your 'pellas, it's not remixing - it's mashing up.
'Remixers' generally SAMPLE something and change it, or create their own backing for the 'pellas. |

well speaking for myself, I'm going to be using the a capellas for scratching live or throwing over dub house tracks. |

i apreciate theres a lot of people that make theyre own beats!!. and yes you are correct... it is a mash up and not necceserilly a remix if u put two tracks together, but if u visit the hip hop forum you will see that 99% of the mixes on there are using "inst" that arent their creation... that was my point.

I'd imagine those mentals are probably made up of samples of sorts anyway (As that is what hip hop was/is built upon)...
